![Daniel Rhythm set to work with Big Brovaz]()
This is Hull and East Riding -- A Hull musician has been asked to work with a Mobo award-winning R&B and hip-hop music group. Daniel Eastwood, who performs as Daniel Rhythm, said he was "overwhelmed" after Big Brovaz said they wanted to work with him. Although Daniel, of east Hull, cannot give too many details away, he says the project will involve working with members of Big Brovaz on his own material. Big Brovaz had several top five chart hits in 2002 and 2003 before splitting up in 2007. They reformed for a tour in 2012 and hit the headlines again this month when four of the original six members performed their track Nu Flow on Celebrity Big Brother spin-off show Bit On The Side. The band later told fans they would be making a comeback. Now, Daniel could work on new material with the London outfit. "I sent them a tweet saying I had seen them perform and used to love Nu Flow when it was released when I was at school," said Daniel. "I asked for a follow and asked them to listen to some of my music. The band replied, saying, 'let's do some business. I heard some magic on there'.""I was a massive fan of the group when I was 15," said the 26-year-old. "The 15-year-old in me is jumping around, while the 26-year-old is a bit overwhelmed." Since then, Daniel has been in conversation with London band member J-Rock and hopes to set up a meeting to discuss a plan of action. J-Rock said: "Dan Rhythm first approached me over Twitter to listen to his music. I thought he had an image, which is 50 per cent of the deal, so I obliged. "I was pleasantly surprised to find songwriting skills penned with passion and emotion and a song that immediately stuck in my head. I got back in touch and said let's do business." Daniel said: "From what has been said so far it could be a massive step for me and J-Rock has shown faith in my music. It is an opportunity for them to push and champion my music and will make a massive difference to the amount of people hearing my music." Although Daniel is unsigned, he has been building a reputation with fans all over the world and has more than 56,000 followers on Twitter. He has also opened for the likes of US chart topper Sisqo, when he performed at Pozition in Hull, as well as Omarion, Dane Bowers, Sneakbo and Tinchy Stryder.
"2014 could be a great year," said Daniel, who helps care for his grandmother and brother Kye, who is battling Hodgkin's lymphoma and has just finished a course of chemotherapy. "It is a bit of good news and, hopefully, it could be the start of a beautiful relationship," said Daniel. As well as the link-up with Big Brovaz, Daniel is writing his own material and is raising funds for a session with Dready, who has worked with the likes of Dr Dre, Busta Rhymes and Beverley Knight.
