![Big Brother's Liz Jones: Chelmsford is a dull, sepia town]()
This is Essex -- Controversial Daily Mail columnist and Big Brother 2014 contestant Liz Jones does not believe Chelmsford is interesting enough to hold city status. Less than two years ago, in an article headlined: "You can't make a colourful city out of a dull, sepia town", she slammed the area despite being raised a few miles down the road in rural Rettenden. Admitting she "hadn't set one toe there since 1977" she returned to the soon-to-be city 35 years later to criticise the pedestrianisation of the centre, the A130, the shops and the bus station. Recalling her experience watching Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, starring Paul Newman, at the Odeon cinema the 55-year-old recalled: "I remember sobbing during the first five minutes as it was shot in sepia. 'Nooooo! I can't see Paul properly!' "I wailed from the non-smoking side of the circle seats. Imagine my relief when the film turned to colour. I had no idea that, over the next 30 years, the town would not." Miss Jones is facing former N-Dubz rapper Dappy in the battle to not be the first celebrity to be evicted from Big Brother 2014.
